It is a pity. For a while there, Nissan/Datsun made highly desired cars – the 240/260/280 Zs, the 810 BMW “copy”, for example. They lost their way with many truly ugly or kiddie-car designs.

… at one time Volvo and Pugeot were considering a merger. Swedes jokingly referred to that as “Volveaux”.
