I’ve oft noticed such awkwardness comes about when body-consciousness is an underlying concern. Some men are arrogant triggers for such concerns in group gatherings. It should NOT be like that, but such men probably have some underlying fear they are trying compensate for. The media-featured “outlier” physiques or agressiveness are a big problem.
