Men aren’t silent because they want to be.

They’re silent because every time they try to speak, someone tells them to sit down, shut up, and “be a man.”

You can only hear “get over it” so many times before you realize your thoughts, feelings, and struggles don’t matter.

5 things most men are embarrassed about their bodies.

Embarrassment doesn’t make any sense — it doesn’t have to. It wraps itself around your mind like a snake and won’t let go.

Tell a guy when he’s 13 years old that his wrists are too skinny and he’s liable to start wearing long-sleeved shirts. Really long-sleeved shirts. For years, maybe. Consistently mock a guy for having ridiculously thick hair — can you really have hair that’s too thick? — and he’ll wonder if maybe he should break out the razor and go Vin Diesel.

A big brother helping his father give skin to skin contact to his premature twin siblings. And if you see this as anything, but natural, loving, and normal, then you are part of the problem.
